Cool car accessories are a subjective opinion. Sometimes I wonder what some people are thinking when I pass by them on the road. It is usually a stupid bumper sticker, fuzzy dice or something of that nature that looks totally lame. Of course that’s why there are literally thousands of cute car accessories on the market. One person’s treasure is another man’s joke – or however that saying goes.

So what makes up a cool car accessory? First it has to stand out and be something that not everyone has. For instance, my uncle has a decal of the grim reaper on the back window of his truck. That’s all he has, but it is simple and effective. It looks cool and he didn’t go overboard and get grim reaper seats and a bumper sticker, etc. That would have been cheesy.

With that in mind here are a few simple ideas for cool car accessories:

Windshield decals – keeping it simple and cool, this is a great way to make your car stand out no matter what your ride is. Every time I see a car with one of these deals, it almost always looks great and makes me take notice. I have seen only a few lame ones, and you wouldn’t buy something that wasn’t cool anyway right?

Mud flaps – this is a common car accessory that just works. I don’t think anyone can give you a solid reason why, you just know that when you see a custom mud flap on a car, it catches your eye right? Just about anything will work here, just try to be original.

Brake decals – this is a sticker you put on your brake light that makes the decal light up. Always put it on the extra brake light, because you don’t want to get a ticket from some cop who doesn’t share your enthusiasm for your favorite comic book hero or sports team.

Cool car accessories aren’t hard to find – just don’t go overboard. Remember, less is more. Be subtle, not overbearing and in your face.
